After a road blockage on Friday, October 9, 2026, which delayed traffic for around three hours, the command issued the warning. On September 23, something quite similar happened.

Under the direction of Commissioner Umar M. Hadejia, this information was revealed on Friday by SP Bashir Usman, who is also the Police Public Relations Officer.

According to Usman, the roadblock made it impossible for drivers, those in need of immediate medical treatment, and other road users to move about freely.

He emphasised that anyone who feel wronged should address their concerns through legitimate avenues, such as their elected officials, traditional leaders, or the Police Community Relations Committee.

The authorities issued a stern warning that anyone involved in a future blockade could be subject to legal action, including inquiry and prosecution.

The head of the police department issued a plea to the public, urging them to be considerate of others’ rights and to refrain from doing anything that could impede the free flow of products and people.

He further emphasised the need of adults discouraging their children and wards from joining illegal gatherings.
