Before Saturday’s Premier League match against Bournemouth, Chelsea manager Xabi Alonso has pushed his side to maintain a competitive mindset, which includes constantly learning and developing.
At Friday’s pre-match press conference, Alonso echoed the sentiments of the Blues, saying that they need to get better at adjusting to different scenarios on the pitch.
According to Alonso, Chelsea must “keep on improving, keep on learning, be in the process to be competitive, be good, learn how to read the moments and adapt to situations,” in order to succeed.
Every game is challenging, but he emphasised the need of learning from them and not repeating past mistakes. “It’s part of the process,” he added.
With seven points after five games, Alonso’s squad is now in tenth place in the Premier League.
