Nigeria is committed to strengthening diplomatic relations with Spain, according to Dr. Okezie Ikpeazu, the country’s ambassador to the Kingdom of Spain.
Among the dignitaries in attendance at the October 12 celebration of Spain’s National Day in Madrid were King Felipe VI, members of the Spanish Royal Family, and Ikpeazu, who was speaking on behalf of Nigeria.
According to him, the goal of diplomatic relations should be to foster mutual understanding and provide opportunities for the citizens of both nations.
There is more to diplomacy than just signing treaties; it’s also about getting to know each other, learning more about each other’s cultures, and opening doors for our people. “Nigeria is dedicated to deepening the ties between our two nations and cherishes its relationship with Spain,” Ikpeazu stated.
By attending significant national events like today, he continued, “Nigeria’s commitment to friendship, dialogue and constructive international partnerships is on full display.”
With the goal of enhancing cooperation in trade, investment, education, energy, and cultural exchange, the ambassador’s presence highlights the significance of ongoing diplomatic engagement between Spain and Nigeria.
