Lere Olayinka responds to Makinde’s “jump” remark on representing Nigeria at the 2028 Olympics

Lere Olayinka, the Senior Special Assistant on Public Communications and Social Media for Federal Capital Territory (FCT) Minister Nyesom Wike, has made fun of presidential candidate Seyi Makinde of the Allied Peoples Movement (APM) over his recent “jump” remark in Akure, Ondo State.

Makinde should be prepared to represent Nigeria at the 2028 Olympic Games, which are set to take place in the United States, according to Olayinka.

Makinde had urged Nigerians to choose strong, resilient leaders.

Speaking at the APM town hall meeting in Akure, Makinde leaped off the stage and urged Nigerians to support politicians who can do the same.

Prior to the election, the governor of Oyo State declared that he would choose vigour and the capacity to endure the demands of leadership over age.

In response, Olayinka wrote on X: “And because Seyi Makinde, the Ibadan Gomina General and APoMu party’s presidential candidate for Iwo Road, Bodija, and Ikolaba, has demonstrated that he can leap very well, he should be prepared to represent Nigeria at the 2028 Olympic Games, which are set to take place in the USA.

“AFN, the Athletics Federation of Nigeria, ought to be aware of this. “Ko ju bee lo.”
