An advisor to Wike has spoken out against the school’s religious program and has demanded the headmaster’s arrest

According to Lere Olayinka, who works as a media aide for Minister Nyesom Wike in the Federal Capital Territory, the principal of a primary school where a Christian program was held should be prosecuted.

The video of the students supposedly praying in tongues while taking part in a religious program went viral, prompting Olayinka to make the call.

Following the incident, Olayinka demanded that the school’s headmaster face consequences for approving the program’s use of school grounds.

“Public schools are meant for academic activities and should not be used for programs capable of promoting a particular religion or denomination among pupils,” he said.

He stated that the government-owned school’s permission to engage in such activities raises questions about the administration’s commitment to following established regulations.

The education authorities have not made a formal statement regarding the subject as of the report’s filing date.
