This was revealed in a statement released in Ado Ekiti on Sunday by Yinka Oyebode, the governor’s special adviser on media.

Special Assistants, Senior Special Assistants, and Technical Assistants were among the impacted political appointees, according to Oyebode.

According to him, the choice was made since the governor’s first term was gradually coming to an end in preparation for his second term, which is set for October 16, 2026.

Statutory organisations including the State Independent Electoral Commission, Civil Service Commission, House of Assembly Service Commission, and Judicial Service Commission are unaffected by the dissolution.

Despite the dissolution of their separate boards, Oyebode stated that the chairs of the State Universal Basic Education Board, Local Government Service Commission, and Teaching Service Commission will continue to hold their positions.

Additionally, the governor’s Directors-General and Technical Advisers are not subject to termination.
