Due to a two-goal lead in the first leg, the 10-time African champions advanced with a resounding 7-0 aggregate victory.

Unfortunately, the first setback came for Nigeria in the 23rd minute when captain Rasheedat Ajibade was substituted after a collision with a defender from the Comoros. Folashade Ijamilusi, a forward based in China, took her place.

The Super Falcons were so dominant that they were held scoreless until the 41st minute.

Toni Payne easily put the ball into the net after Uchenna Kanu took advantage of a goalkeeper’s mistake.

Kanu doubled Nigeria’s lead early in the second half, putting the game out of reach for the visitors.

Substitute Blessing Okpe set up Payne for her second goal of the game, and in the 61st minute, Payne finished off a well-executed move.

Five minutes later, Kanu completed her brace with a well-taken header to make it 4-0, further underlining Nigeria’s superiority.

Al-Hilal midfielder Christy Ucheibe rounded off the emphatic victory from the penalty spot in the 70th minute to complete the 5-0 rout.

The Super Falcons will now turn their attention to the third qualifying round, scheduled for February 23 to March 6, 2027, where they will face either Morocco or the Democratic Republic of Congo as they continue their quest to secure a place at the 2028 Olympic Games.
