In response to a racial remark made by a UK Reform Party chieftain against UK Conservative Party leader Kemi Badenoch, Shehu Sani—a former senator from Kaduna Central—has spoken out.
The incident, according to Sani’s post on his verified X account, should serve as a warning to Nigerians who seek to appease the West by denying their heritage.
Keep in mind that Kemi Badenoch, a British-born woman of Nigerian origin, was the target of a racist insult by a prominent Reform Party figure.
Responding, Sani said, “No matter how you try to deny being Nigerian, the Caucasian will always remind you of your roots.”
He went on to say that racism is blind to factors like nationality, political affiliation, and accent, and that Badenoch’s story exemplifies this.
No formal response to the racist comment made by the leader of the UK Reform Party has been issued as of the writing of this report.
