On Saturday, Gbajabiamila gave a speech at his 2026 Mega Empowerment Program at the National Stadium in Surulere, Lagos. He also discussed accusations made against him as a result of the Presidential Foreign Intervention Promotion Council (PFIPC) investigations.

He claimed he had been exonerated of any misconduct connected to the organization by multiple investigations, including one conducted by the House of Representatives.

“I’ve been put to the test in unexpected ways during the past few months. He said, “My integrity was questioned, strange accusations were made, stories were written, and lies were told.”

Despite pressure from some to condemn him before the investigations were finished, Gbajabiamila maintained that due procedure had been followed and that the public could now access the investigative reports.

He claimed that Tinubu was certain he had nothing to do with the purported actions.

“Let me add that Mr. President has a close relationship with his Chief of Staff. He was extremely certain that I had nothing to do with those evil activities because he had worked closely with me for many years, he claimed.

Additionally, the former Speaker of the House of Representatives stated that the accusations would not prevent him from doing his presidential duties.

He declared, “No amount of money, blackmail, or lies, whether sponsored from within or outside, will detract from my work and the work Mr. President has given me to do.”

Regarding his relationship with Tinubu, Gbajabiamila stated that despite his disagreements with some political decisions, his allegiance to the President has remained unwavering.

“The most valuable coin in politics is loyalty. Mr. President and I have been together for a long time. I never undermined his confidence in me or questioned his leadership. I was loyal back then, and I still am. “I remain steadfast in my support of his Renewed Hope agenda,” he declared.

According to Gbajabiamila, the empowerment initiative was created to assist over 5,000 members of Surulere communities. Cash assistance, cars, electric tricycles, buses, security patrol cars, and an ambulance were given to the recipients.

Obafemi Hamzat, a candidate for APC governor and deputy governor of Lagos State, commended Gbajabiamila for his unwavering support of his constituents.

Additionally, Hamzat urged support for Tinubu’s reelection, citing the President’s continued affiliation with the APC and his contributions to its growth.
